My photography story

I've always loved taking pictures ever since I was little. My mom would give my sister and I windup film cameras and send us out in the world. We used to take pictures of our family at weddings and our mom would get them printed after and we had our own albums for each of our pictures.

My parents would set up the video camera and I would set up the camera and take my own shots with my stuffed animals. Now I still do the same thing but without the stuffed animals. I took a photography course in high school and that restarted my love for it. But at the same time I was getting into hospitality. My love for photography was more so a hobby at the time and I thought my true love was baking so I planned on becoming a pastry chef. I applied to George Brown and Humber for pastry arts.

When I went on the campus tours I was late to the Humber one so my mom suggested I go checkout photography just for fun. David Scott gave my family a private tour and took a look at my Instagram account I had at the time and said that I have some real potential. No one had ever really told me that I could actually do something with my pictures so I was very excited. That fall I applied to Humber for photography and got my first DSLR camera that I still use to this day. My Nikon D750. Now I’m graduating Humber and carrying on with my love for portraits and mix with my love for fashion and all things dramatic which you can see in my portfolio.
